Flutter. . . Flutter. . . Come, ‘Prosperity and Love’ has arrived at Queensbay Mall in chariots of flaming red for Spring 2009! Auspicious events flowing with the theme of ‘Prosperity and Love’ to bring in the good fortune have begun since the 10th of January 2009. Starting from the enchanting art of mask-changing, of which the fascinating skill is an inheritance from the ancient Chinese opera scenes to the modern days, Q-Kids Oldies singing competition; the objective is to create an ambience of everlasting love, prosperity and happiness for all year round. Evidently, it also provided a depth of understanding and appreciation of the rich Chinese culture and heritage to the public.

A must to highlight is the recent Q-Kids Oldies singing competition which took place last Sunday 18th January, from 2pm to 4pm. The little ones, with fearless hearts of pure love, spreading joy and happiness through their melodious tunes of good wishes and luck to all the shoppers, parents and visitors for the coming Chinese New Year.

The first prize winner, Hee Lee Joyce, aged 10, captivated the audience when she came on stage so gracefully to present her song. Her tune was just right and pitch was prefect as she sang with passion and gusto.

Meanwhile, Tan Yi Ying, aged 11, the second prize winner amazed the audience with her costume, showmanship and also her cheerfulness that brought out the big smiles from the audience.

And finally, Toh Wan Yu, aged 9, the third prize winner mesmerized the audience with her number as she sang with grace and elegance.

While waiting for the competition results, the audience was also entertained by All Stars Kindergartens kids aged between 4 and 7. They were fabulous! Their dance performances and singing further hyped up the spirit of Chinese New Year.
