The official launch of Spring at Queensbay Mall / Chinese New Year month at Queensbay Mall began when Ms. Jane Yeo, guest of honour and Executive Director of C P Land officiated the event on Thursday, 10 January 2008. Her arrival at the main entrance of the Mall was greeted by 8 beautiful ladies all dressed in traditional yet elegant Chinese CheongSam and lion dancers.

As Ms. Jane Yeo launched the gimmick that lighted up the entire atrium and its moon-shaped lanterns that hung from willow trees, onlookers and shoppers witnessed in awe when colourful confetti exploded and fluttered into the main halls of the atrium and the magnificent lantern-like chandelier in the central started to rotate…
It was a dazzling and splendid affair indeed. Spring has arrived at Queensbay Mall!
